East San Fernando Valley Transit Corridor
En español
As 2018 draw to a close, Metro would like to thank everyone for their support of the East San Fernando Valley Transit Corridor Project. Together we’ve had a big year!
Marking a historic transit milestone for the San Fernando Valley, the Metro Board of Directors approved light rail transit for the East San Fernando Valley Transit Corridor Project that will connect the Metro Orange Line Station in Van Nuys with the Metrolink Station in Sylmar/San Fernando. The alignment will include 14 at-grade stations with an end-to-end travel time of 31 minutes.
The Project’s final environmental document (FEIR) is scheduled for completion in 2019 and will respond to the more than 900 public comments received during the Project’s Public Hearings and 60-day public review period. Once the Metro Board certifies the FEIR, preliminary engineering can begin. Construction will begin as soon as 2021.
More information can be found on our Project website here. If you need more information – especially if you have questions about potential property issues – please get in touch with us, and we’ll be glad to answer any questions you may have!
Best wishes for a happy holiday season!
